River Roch is on the up

NATIONAL Fishing Week will run from Saturday 19 July to Sunday 27 July with hundreds of events organised across the UK embracing all disciplines - sea, coarse and game.

The River Roch continues to go from strength to strength and is producing some great fish.

A local angler recently recorded two chub in the same session that were close to weighing five pounds each.

With almost every commercial venue fishing well at the moment it is difficult to decide where to go. Therefore the Environment Agency has produced a booklet entitled ‘Where to go Fishing’ which is available free from local tackle shop the Rod’s Rest on York Street near the White Lion pub.
