BOLTON Clarion staged last weekend’s 10-mile time trial on a windy Garstang course with six ABC Centreville riders taking part.
First off for the Heywood club was Ian Connelly, who set a fair time of 25 mins 43 seconds. He was followed by John Burston in a time of 27-40.
Junior Kristian Ramsden was third away and he put in a consistent time of 25-50. Jody Warrington clocked a great time of 23-35, just one second behind his father Rick. Bill Prout was last out and recorded 26-12.
The Centreville Club won all three team events in the trio of time trials held by Manchester and District recently, much to the delight of all concerned.
New club member Joshua Hunt, a relation of professional rider Jeremy Hunt has been racing at the Preston Arena in the weekly road race.
Two weeks ago he rode to Preston from his Radcliffe home, competed in the event and finished eighth.
Last week he was again action and this time took a very good third place in the senior event, despite his tender 17 years allowing him to compete at junior level.
