Students making the grade

WORLD Class! That’s the verdict on two former students at Hopwood Hall Rugby League Academy.

Rugby League World magazine has included Jordan Turner and Kyle Eastmond in the top 20 ranked teenagers in the game, at 20th and 18th respectively.

The top quality facilities at Hopwood Hall, where players combine expert coaching from former Rochdale Hornets and Bradford Bulls star Matt Calland, with academic studies, has clearly benefited the duo, much to the delight of their coach who said: "It’s nice to see these boys doing so well.

"They both showed great potential while they were at the college.

"I would also mention Miles Greenwood who also has a fantastic career ahead of him.

"He continued his studies and is now in his final year at John Moores University.

"All three have represented England at academy level and have big futures in the game."

Head of Curriculum at Hopwood Hall, Wendy Higgin added: "It is very pleasing to hear that Jordan and Kyle have made their mark on the sporting world, and their academic tutors in the sports department wish them every success in their careers."
