Dynamoes fly the flag in Spain

ROACH Dynamos under 14s travelled to Spain for a tournament on the Costa Brava.
The squad, which comprised of 12 players and 21 family members, spent seven days in the resort of Santa Suzannah and were involved in a prestigious tournament, involving 168 teams.
In their age group, Roach were drawn in one of 10 groups of four, the other three teams in the group were German.
The Heywood team drew two and lost one and were unlucky not to qualify for the knockout phase, after narrowly missing out on a victory in their third game. The party had a fantastic week, the
quality of football was fabulous and the team behaved superbly to fly the flag for their home town.
The trip, which included a visit to Barcelona’s Nou Camp Stadium where they saw famous players Deco, Messi and Thierry Henry, ice skating and quad biking, was arranged by Mark and Karen Wiseman who worked tirelessly to ensure that the whole week went off perfectly.
The club would like to thank Mark, Karen, coach Danny Moore and all of the players and families for a fantastic week.
