CELTIC reserves continued their brilliant form against a tough Burnage side at Queens Park.

The home team started well and took the lead when Whitehouse jinked through the defence to put Celtic one up.

The pace of Whitehouse continued to cause Burnage problems and he picked up his second with a tap in at the far post.

Burnage pulled a goal back.

The second half saw the return of Chris Nuttall in a Celtic shirt.

He went close on a few occasions, but it was his slide rule pass which set up Ridsdale’s deft chip over the keeper.

Burnage capitalised on Celtic errors to grab a second, before the hosts stretched scored again after a pinpoint free kick from Keogh was met by Loeb who headed past the stranded keeper.

With minutes to play Burnage grabbed a late consolation.

ON Saturday, Heywood St James entertain Old Trafford FC at Phoenix Park.

The match kicks off at 1.30pm and players are asked to meet at the clubhouse at 12.30pm.

Last week's match was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
