A station steeped in history

TRAINS are returning to Heywood after a gap of 33 years, and the history of the town's old railway station is almost lost in the mists of time.

Golden age remembered

A SUPERB book of photographs on the East Lancashire line between Rawtenstall and Heywood was intended to coincide with the opening of the restored section between Bury and Heywood.
