Man killed in horror crash

A TWENTY-year-old man has died after a serious road traffic accident in Heywood.
Shortly after 1.30am on Saturday, a white Nissan Micra collided with a tree on Pilsworth Road, close to the entrance of Heywood Business Park.
The driver, who was from Heywood, was thrown from the car and was taken to Fairfield Hospital, but was pronounced dead after he arrived.
Another 20-year-old man, who is also from Heywood, was a passenger in the front of the car. He remains in Fairfield Hospital, where he is being treated for serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.
