Dumped - with all but the kitchen sink

A LITTLE terrier dog, complete with his timber kennel, has been found dumped at the gates of a pet hotel.

Now Sue Aston, owner of the Birch Pet Hotel in Langley Lane, is appealing for someone to give the two-year-old Jack Russell a home.

Sue says she was "horrified" when she looked on the CCTV security screen early on Monday and spotted the black and white, rough-haired dog tied up just inside the gateway.

"But I couldn’t believe it when I took a closer look and saw the dog’s wooden kennel had also been left outside," she said.

"The kennel had rusty chains hanging from it, so it looks as though the dog may have been left tied up for long periods.

"But why anyone should simply abandon him when they could have tried to find him a new home, is beyond me. Normally we would have had my two German shepherd dogs wandering around inside the main gates so I hate to think what might have happened if this person had tried to climb the gates with the dogs around."

Sue says the terrier appears to be well fed and in perfect health.

While she is searching for a new home for him, he is basking in a life of luxury at the pet hotel, which normally caters for some of the area’s best-treated pets, offering such services as fitness courses and even a hydrotherapy pool.
