HEYWOOD’s Mr Nice has been has been tuning up as prepares to meet TV’s Mr Nasty.
One of the town’s most well known crooners Alan Taylor is hoping to hit the high notes as he gets ready to audition for TV singing competition The X Factor in two weeks' time.
But, Alan says he is not worried about the harsh verdicts of judge Simon Cowell - dubbed TV’s Mr Nasty - because he reckons the music mogul knows what he’s talking about when it comes to singing.
He said: “If he says no he says no and if he says no to me it’s fine - he’s the one who knows about these things.”
Alan will get his chance at 15 minutes of fame on Sunday 20 April when the X Factor auditions are held at Manchester United’s Old Trafford ground.
