Bury CofE High - proud of Christian heritage

Bury Church of England High School is “a good school with a very strong Christian ethos. Relationships are a positive feature of this caring community,” according to the school’s Ofsted report of 2006.
More than 70 per cent of pupils have achieved five A* - Cs for each of the last three years, 80 per cent in 2006.
Over 65 per cent of those have included English and maths, and more than 20 per cent of all entries have resulted in A*/A grades each year since 2005. No pupil has left with no exam success.
But the school isn’t just about academic success – pupils’ personal development and wellbeing are held equally important. Ofsted rated pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development as outstanding.
The school is proud of its Christian heritage and ethos and gives priority to children of all Christian denominations.
