Russ Otterwell's comments about La Palma Princess Hotel was not accurate in so far as neither Thomson, Portland, or himself made the very important point that the La Palma Princess is NOT A HOTEL in the true sense of the word, it is a COMPLEX which has an very difficult STEEP HILL, the only way to access your room to get into the main building. I holidayed there in March this year with 4 other ladies and though all the details Russ said about the food etc were true this HILL has been completely ommitted, though I can assure you it is there. People were struggling to get to the dining room and evening facilities, the English people are housed in blocks, furthest away from these facilities. I also think people should be made aware that anywhere need the complex there are NO shops of any kind, the one in the Complex only selling a few basic this like water etc. We saw people have great difficulty getting too and from the main building. Fortunatly the weather was lovely but I hate to think what it would have been like had it been otherwise. Your comments about the pool bars and eating facilities around the pool were closed so early. Why you all seem to see this complex with Rose tinted glasses on I fail to understand. I agree the food was the best, staff very pleasant but spoilt by this 'heart attack hill'. This SHOULD be made quite clear. We also unfortunately had a light fingered member of staff who had access to our room and took clothing out of our room. Sorry about this but it is a MAJOR factor when booking a holiday. Mrs Thelma Pearce
