Store Detective

FOR this week's shoestring shopping special, Store Detective has taken a break from the usual scouting out of fab new locations to look at some top ways to treat yourself instead.

As our fashion spread, right, took on the mission of finding fab womenswear for under a tenner, we thought we'd go one better by showing you how to get some bling for £5 or less! So, we've scoured the high street to bring you our top five stores to spend a precious few of your hard-earned pounds in. Here's our guide to the best stores with bling on a budget.

1 DOROTHY PERKINS

God bless Dotty P's which has had a real style renaissance over the last season or so. Now you can pick up many a fab little number for just a few quid.

And that goes for their great jewellery selection, too. Check out this corsage from the new autumn range for £5, in line with the ongoing folky trend.

2 ACCESSORIZE

Ah, good old Accessorize, the age old favourite for all those last minute party pieces. Look around among the new arrivals for autumn - including this gorgeous flower ring for just £3 - and you can find some fab buys for £5 or under. Plus, with the sale still on you can even get some cut-price chic from the summer stock.

3 GEORGE AT ASDA

Not only can you pick up a few top trinkets for trifling prices at George - but bigger accessories, too, like this gorgeous gothic-style belt for £5 from the new autumn range. It's set to be all the rage this coming season.

4 MATALAN

You can pick up a few cut price chic pieces at Matalan, too. We loved this retro-style handbag for just £4.

5 PRIMARK

Now, we couldn't do bling on a budget without mentioning Primark, could we?

And here's a sneak peek of a treat from their new autumn range - a pendant for just £2.50!
