Soapbox: Pound signs are flashing for Cilla . . .
by Rachel Broady22/ 9/2005
CORONATION STREET Gail is gushing after
chatting with Phil but when she sees him with her rival in the
Rovers, and Eileen tells her she's just a chapter in his thesis,
she yells at him for leading her on. I think he'd be better off
leaving their feet alone.
And Cilla's thinking on her hooves again. After Les got a bashing
by the Quo she's thinking she'd get far more compensation then Rita
could ever have managed. But she has trouble convincing her
rock-loving hubby-to-be to sue his heroes.
A drunken Leanne lets slip to Janice that she's having an affair
with a married man. Thankfully, Janice's hair doesn't fall out with
the shock. But when she twigs who the married man is she starts to
blackmail him and when it doesn't work is determined to tell
Frankie - with potentially disatrous results for her
daughter.
Another man who can't keep his hands to himself is Diggory - the
Pilsbury dough boy. He thinks Liz is a man magnet for the shop and
doesn't mind at all that she looks like a day-old pastie.
Meanwhile, Kelly is falling in love with Lloyd - because she fears
he's seeing another woman. He even turns down a date at a gig
saying he's playing darts but she sees him snogging a mystery
blonde.
I can tell you that it's neither Gail nor Eileen!
EMMERDALE Debbie kisses Robert. While I recognise
that she's been denied an education and her upbringing wasn't
without its problems - surely no one is daft enough to fall for his
sinister charms! Even Victoria can't stand him. Jack offers him
cash to leave the village and the rotter seduces Debbie and then
asks her if she wants to go with him.
Max is still acting like his namesake in Where the Wild Things Are
and sulking. When Robert sees him he invites him to follow him out
of Emmerdale as well ... so long as he brings some of his dad's
cash.
Val, meanwhile, is running around like a moneyless curtain-maker
being chased by the bailiffs. They want £3,000 immediately. She
steals from Rodney who accuses Paul and Danny
EASTENDERS Keith Miller ain't Mickey's dad, Mike
is. Mike is the man who turned Dawn's life around. Dawn is Mickey's
long-lost sister. Confused? You will be after this episode of
rubbish.
