Soapbox: Fishy goings-on out on t'cobbles
by Rachel Broady14/ 7/2005
CORONATION STREET Sarah Lou and Scooter are
accused of stealing that woman's carp. But that's not the only
fishy going-on.
Charlie's lust for Violet is cooled when he starts to get calls
from customers asking unusual questions. It seems they don't want
to know if he can use a glue gun.
Then when Shelley sneaks in the back door of the pub wearing
sunglasses and looking a bit out of sorts Bev assumes the worst.
Charlie looks like the bad guy again - and turning up at Bev's flat
telling her what's what won't win him a personality contest.
Meanwhile, Violet is using Sean to keep Charlie at bay. Not by
getting the skinny machinist to offer the sinewy builder on
t'cobbles but to ensure she's never alone with Shelley's bonkers
boyfriend.
Meanwhile, the sappy barmaid leaves her bedroom for long enough to
sack Ciaran who looks set to continue his career at the
Weatherfield Arms, probably doing Boyzone hits on karaoke, until
Bev makes a clumsy pass at him (baby can I hold you, she may sing)
and decides to leave for good...when the going gets tough.
EMMERDALE Louise, feeling used and humiliated,
confronts Matthew for ignoring her - so he dumps her. That's gotta
hurt!
Paddy, meanwhile, takes a robust thirty-something he met in a club
back to the cottage he shares with Emily. Mandy Dingle Mark Two?
Trying to keep quiet as Emily sleeps, he knocks over a vase, waking
his estranged wife.
Even more excitingly Sam the chicken lover is back and he has a
secret he's only willing to share with Zak. And when he calls Alice
but keeps his finger on the receiver you'd think a Dingle would
spot the scam.
That Jasmine is proving to be a right minx. She gets drunk on
stolen crème de men the with Daz, fights Debbie, tells Laurel not
to expect to be with Ashley for much longer and then fails to meet
the vicar's girlfriend's dad at the airport.
Laurel seeks comfort but busy Ashley can't offer any, so she looks
to Ethan who seems to enjoy being her shoulder to cry on a little
too much. Hey up!
EASTENDERS Little Mo is still pushing Alfie to
tell Kat their relationship is over.
I think Dirty Den bounced back from the dead less times than these
two had that discussion.
But the Dirty Den saga isn't over yet either because someone turns
up offering to find him for Chrissie.
He's buried in the cellar, call the police and lock up the entire
cast!
