Is the last hot pot served?
by Rachel Broady19/ 5/2005
CORONATION STREET Fred and Ciaran don't trust
Charlie, and Shelley blames Betty for the gossip. Charlie says she
should sack the hotpot-making troublemaker straight away but,
deciding that he's only happy when he and Shelley are alone
together, lures the ditzy barmaid further into his trap. Then, when
he accidentally hits her in the face with a door, he convinces her
to hide away in the bedroom all day. If he was a footballer and she
was his wife he'd be burning her clothes by now. Mind you, those
cheap gaudy blouses would go up like tissue paper.
Liz, meanwhile, is devastated that Jim has his sentence extended by
two years for hitting a cellmate. If he were in Eastenders he would
be living in Manchester/America and only referred to once in a blue
moon but Liz visits him in prison intending to dump him and find a
fella who doesn't have arrows all over his clothes. She starts her
search for Mr Right by going speed dating with Eileen.
And when Danny needs a shoulder to cry on Leanne is only too happy
to lean towards him, but could comfort turn to lust for the pair of
cheats?
EMMERDALE Sadie is upset that Zoë is snubbing her.
In fact, it upsets her so much that when she goes back to her
B&B bed and finds skimpy undies waiting for her with a note
from Cain she's actually tempted. Have a calming long hot bath
instead, love, it's more than he's ever managed!
Chas thinks now could be a good time to join the army. Considering
all she wants to do is get away from her dad she'd be better off
simply avoiding the pub.
But it gets Carl thinking about how much he would miss her - and
probably how shiny his shoes would be if she were properly
trained.
EASTENDERS I found myself enjoying Eastenders for
a few minutes the other night. No, really! The fight between Ruby
and step-mum-to-be Tina demanded attention in a way that this
dreary soap hasn't managed since Tiffany got hit by a car. Things
could be on the up?
Well, maybe not.
This week things come to a head between Alfie and Little Mo, the
way things came to a head between Alfie and Kat.
And Big Mo is urging Kat to come home so that things can come to a
head between Alfie, Little Mo and Kat the way things came to a head
between Kat, Zoë and Dr Truman.
Then there's the risk that the cast of Dad's Army and It Ain't Half
Hot Mum could potentially influence the already dodgy scripts by
their presence alone.
