Mum and Dad left there in 1980 and moved to Perth Western Australia. mum's brother and his family are still in Heywood (Hello Uncle Paul and Aunty Chris and Sarah and Rachel.) I am trying to find a friend of my Dad - Arnold Duckworth- His friend is called Willy Lomax and he married a lady called Pat.    Can anybody help me, I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday and we got talking about Heywood. he is older than me but he wants to know the name of the pub in Heywood that use to have live groups on,on a saturday night. I don't know but I said I will find out.I think it must have the Seven Stars.The rerason he was asking is there was a group playing and sung a song by the Beach Boys "Good Vibrations" and he said they were fantastic and he should know, he has played in groups.
